Thing 5

I started my Twitter account about 6 months ago because at that time everyone was making an account in my classes and a couple of my instructors told me it would be a good thing to do, so I made an account.
I don't really use my Twitter account very much because the same people who are on there are on my facebook, so I connect with them there. Sometimes I post tweets, but don't feel as comfortable doing it on Twitter as I do on my facebook account.
Twitter can be used in all sorts of ways. A lot of people use it to display EVERYTHING that is going on in their lives and I don't think that's necessary. Also, celebrities have gone crazy for it and it's kind of weird some of the things they say on there.

Thing 4

Facebook is a great way that I got in touch with people that I haven't talked to since high school and is a great way to stay in contact with people when you meet them for the first time.
I would say that I am friends with the majority of people in the Advertising program because we are around each other so much and it's a great way to get in contact with the people who you are working on a project with.
I do have a LinkedIn account so that my profile is out there for industry people to look at. I don't really use my Facebook for that sort of thing and keep my Facebook just for my friends and family.
Professional networking is so much different than social because you have to be proper when you are networking professionally. When I'm talking to my friends and family I don't have to worry so much about my grammar or spelling, but I definitely am in tune with it when I'm talking to professionals.

Thing 3

This thing was an easy one for me.

My first quarter at AI my Computer Applications teacher showed our class how to forward our school e-mails to our e-mails that we used on a regular basis, so I have never used the school address. I think that the student portal is very helpful to AI students because it's very easy to navigate the web site and find what you are looking for.

Thing 2

This is kind of crazy when you figure out how to do it!

I finally made the switch from hotmail to gmail. I have been using hotmail since 7th grade! Getting used to gmail is fun, interesting and frustrating all at the same time!

I've shared 5 things with my 1 follower, he's probably a little annoyed. I like really like that now I have a gmail account I can subscribe to all of the websites that I usually go to and now they're all in one place, pretty easy once I figured out how to do it!

I can use this for my school and personal life quite a bit. I am linked to a lot of the advertising web sites that I go to and I'm getting linked with family!

Blogging, gmail, RSS feeding all in 1 day!!

First Post EVER!

I finally got a blog. I've looked and read so many other blog's and now I've gotten assigned to create my own! Hope to keep it going!
